GETTING HERE

Don't let our remote location fool you. We are easily accessible from both Glacier Park International Airport in Kalispell and the west gate to Glacier National Park. Once you turn off of Highway 2 in either Hungry Horse or Martin City you travel about 55 miles around the Hungry Horse Reservoir to it's source. It's here on the on the Spotted Bear River where it feeds into the South Fork, just south of the reservoir that you'll find our lodge. While driving around the reservoir keep your camera handy. You never know when you'll encounter a bear crossing or a moose jam. Click here for driving directions.

Directions to the Diamond R Guest Ranch at Spotted Bear from Kalispell, Montana

From Glacier International Airport go Left on Hwy 2 to the light at the intersection of Hwy 40 and the Blue Moon Night Club. There turn Right to continue on Hwy 2 East. You'll go through Columbia Falls and Columbia Heights into Hungry Horse and the West Side Road or travel Hwy 2 East just about a mile further to Martin City and the East Side Road.From Glacier International Airport go Left on Hwy 2 to the light at the intersection of Hwy 40 and the Blue Moon Night Club. West Side Road

As you travel East on Hwy 2 the West Side Road/NF #895 is on the Right just past the U.S.F.S. Ranger Station at Hungry Horse (also on the right). After crossing the dam you will continue on the pavement for several miles. The road then becomes gravel for approx. 40 miles. Stay on the main road past the Spotted Bear Airstrip. When you come to a stop sign and a "T" in the road, turn Right as the sign will indicate and continue an easy mile or two to the Diamond R which is located on the Left, just before the Spotted Bear Ranger Station.

East Side Road

Continue past the West Side/Dam road on Hwy 2 to Martin City. Turn Right and stay Right at the Deerlick Saloon. You'll pass the post office and fire house on your right and continue straight through town. Where the road becomes gravel it looks like it splits but continue straight on the South Fork Road/ NF #38 following the signs for Spotted Bear. We are on the Left just before the Spotted Bear Ranger Station.
