Our most popular guided outing is a ten-mile float of the South Fork of the Flathead River, designated as one of our country's "Wild and Scenic Rivers". This pristine and protected section of the South Fork of the Flathead, will test your dry fly fishing skills against the native Westslope Cutthroat Trout. Around mid-day we'll find a good fishing hole and pull up for a streamside picnic lunch. Or, you may be tempted to wet your line and ignore your lunch! No to worry - we'll take good care of you once you arrive back at the lodge for a hot & fresh home-cooked meal of comfort food. We recommend you book your Adventure-of-a-Lifetime soon. In this part of the country, the Montana Fly Fishing season is short but action-filled. The peak months of July & August are most popular. And to ensure our guests experience a relaxing Montana adventure, we limit our capacity.
If you're a wade fishing enthusiast you're sure to relish time spent on the Spotted Bear River, flowing directly below our lodge. Just step out of your cabin, stroll down the bank and fish upriver for miles. But be prepared for a day of solitude - You won't see a single building and likely won't see another person! There are also many creeks that feed into the South Fork of the Flathead and Hungry Horse Reservoir. These offer endless opportunities for hike & wade fishing with one of our experienced guides.
